BAFTA Connect… I’m in the club!

July brought some wonderful news! I’m very pleased to say that I have been accepted as a BAFTA Connect member and am thrilled to be joining this legendary organisation.

To have been selected from such a wide pool of applicants is very fulfilling, and I hope to be able to make the most of this opportunity. And of course, I hope to be able to offer as much to those I meet as they may be able to offer in return. Amongst other fabulous benefits, such as access to the incredible space(s) at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, perhaps the most exciting part is the chance to connect (see what I did there?) with likeminded creatives and expand my network.

I’ve already met some lovely people through this initiative, and I look forward to getting stuck in as more events and opportunities within the membership present themselves.

Steve Lawson

Hello there! I’m Steve. Director, Writer, Story Artist & Animator. I’m based in York, UK, but travel up and down the country as needed to help other artists and studios tell great stories. In addition, I lecture part-time on the BA Animation degree at the Northern School of Art, where I work with our team as well as our Aardman partners to prepare our budding animators for our exciting industry. When I’m not doing this, I like to maintain, design and consult on Squarespace websites; something I’ve done since 2013.
